I aim to deliver exceptional care within the specialties of my practice. I individualize my care to each 'individual' as no two patients or disease processes are alike. I make myself as available as possible to see my patients through their prep consultation, procedure and the post op care.

Daniel popowich made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable when I first met him. the doctor that referred me to him was pushing how great he was, so against my better judgement I continued to see him. that was a big mistake.
He inserted a device that is now coming apart in my body and causing me further problems. I now need surgery to have this device removed.
Dr. Popowich is without a doubt the best colorectal surgeon out there. When seeking the top surgeon for my case, I was referred to Dr. Popowich. I have no regrets. The surgery went perfectly with no complications. His staff, especially Ms. Marge, were excellent. They are quick and responsive when it comes to scheduling and Pre surgery Prep. The doctor and staff were kind and caring even after the surgery
The gold standard of care for evaluating a complicated patient is to review medical records in advance when they have been made available to the surgeon. Three other colorectal surgeons required paper records in advance which were reviewed thoroughly before my visit. I emailed my records to Dr. Popowitz’s office manager, received an email confirming receipt, and even called the following week and she verbally confirmed she had emailed them to him. Yet, when I arrived, he said he did not have my records even after telling him... read more
Dr. Popowich is a highly skilled surgeon and a terrific, caring physician. He handled my emergency laparoscopic surgery to remove a Non-Hodgkinson's Lymphoma in my colon. Afterward, he came by my hospital room early every morning for the next two weeks to see how my recovery was going and coordinate my care. Can't say enough good things about him!
dan popowich is an unfriendly and uncaring physician. my advise is to avoid him at all costs.
Unique, caring and brilliant surgeon who cares about his patients as if they are family. I knew that I wanted to use him for my surgery as soon as I left his office. He explained his approach very clearly unlike the other consultations that I had (I had already scheduled them so I went on them). Even though my surgery was not the most complicated type I was still anxious. Dr. Popowich came into the holding room before my surgery and went through the procedure again which was very comforting.
Dr Popowich recently performed laparoscopic surgery to remove a section from my colon due to diverticulitis. Prior to the surgery, he spent time to detail the procedure, and was at pains to explain all the associated risks and answer all questions. The procedure went well, and I have experienced minimal pain. I have found him to be very approachable as evidenced by the fact that he visited me every morning during my hospital stay, and is very prompt in following up with post-surgery questions.
