Every time I am at Rice I stop by for a Hulk
The pastry is really bad . It is frozen. And and not properly baked.
This cafe was fantabulous. Entire staff was so nice, friendly & smiles. SOO attentive & accommodating. Kevin was very energetic & on top of it making sure we knew what was all on the menu. They were out of a food option for my meal & was so quick to fix it. Lovely place Lovely people. & it was nice enough to be able to sit outside today!
They skimp on ingredients to such an extent you’d think Rice is under siege. The ostensibly “lox bagel” I ordered today contained a barely visible strip of cream cheese and (no exaggeration) 1/5 the amount of lox as is normally expected. I have never been to a restaurant/cafe this stingy.
I absolutely love Dandelion Café near Rice University. It has such a chill, friendly vibe, and the food is always spot‑on. Their egg salad sandwich is my go‑to — super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. Their lattes are always smooth, and I usually grab a pastry because they’re impossible to resist. The staff is warm and welcoming, and it’s just an easy place to relax or catch up with friends.
