I did not have a long wait for the doctor, which was a pleasant surprise. I appreciated that she listened to my concerns and explained my options. She was able to remove some of the surface callous and for the first time in months it doesn’t hurt to walk. She also explained that my thick toenail is not a result of fungus, but rather a thickening due to the hammertoe which hits the ground rather than the bottom of the toe. I really liked her.
At 60 years old and having abused my feet as an athlete, and in the outdoors and wilderness for over 50 years, I can honestly say that Dr. Tate is the best Podiatrist I've ever seen. My previous doctor retired. I found Dr. Tate online, and near my home, and set up an appointment. She is cheerful, professional, and will speak to you candidly about what you need to do and what is not important to heal. I've never had a better experience.
