Most of the staff here are genuinely friendly and helpful. However, some of the newer employees working on Friday afternoons have delivered some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. So apparently showing legal ID isn’t enough at Dan Murphy’s anymore, not when the cashier decides to play undercover cop based on absolutely nothing. I came in for the first time, excited to finally shop for myself, showed my ID like a responsible adult, and still got refused because the cashier thought I was with someone underage. I went to shop here tonight and had a cart valued over $200. I asked to price match the kilchoman whisky with an online retailer that could offer same day delivery if the cart was above $200. The Duty manager TJ, refused to price match because he didn't understand the policy and could not explain to me why it was not meeting the requirements.
