I chose Dr. Newhart because he was an elite provider of Invisalign so I felt confident that he had the experience necessary to re-straighten my teeth after years of not wearing my retainers since braces led to shifting and crowding. Dr. Damian Newhart is the son of Lynn Newhart from a previous marriage. He legally changed his name to Newhart. His birth name is Damian Nye. And no, he is not an Orthodontist. He is a general dentist. California law allows dentist's to practice Ortho.
This dentist led me to believe he was an orthodontist but luckily, after doing research, I found out he is a dentist, NOT a specialist. I can't believe he is so unethical as to try to make me think he did extra training beyond dental school. I would never take my children to anything but a specialist, their smile is too important to trust to someone who just did a few weekend courses in braces and thinks he can be an orthodontist. STAY AWAY if you know what's best for your children.
