Working with Chris over the past six months has been a transformative journey, both physically and mentally. The results speak for themselves: My squat, bench, and deadlift numbers have soared. I've also developed a strong resilience beyond the gym, helping me tackle challenges as an engineer with grit. I would never had thought my body was capable of all the things Chris has helped me achieve. As a coach, Chris is hilarious, kind, and encouraging. Each workout is a mix of fun and challenge, leaving me pushed well beyond my ... read more

I went to Chris to learn the proper technique for the compound movements and kettlebells. He was very thorough, walked me through every move and for the 2 months I was training with him I saw a very good progress. One of the features of learning the proper technique is that I was now lifting with the proper muscles in a way that was easy on my knees and joints. Great selections of fresh produce and fine pies. Of course prices are much higher recently, but a savvy shopper can do well here. People are friendly and helpful.

This review is long overdue. I trained at DSC and privately with Chris Riley (the owner) several years ago. He's extremely knowledgeable about lifting form and programming. Chris got me, in my late 30s-early 40s, the strongest I've ever been in my life. I wasn't able to continue training at DSC because of other commitments but I highly recommend it.

Having an awesome first weightlifting and personal training experience at DS&C. This is a stripped-down and unapologetic gym with no machines: just barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells. Chris is fantastic, and emphasizes teaching excellent form from the beginning, so that I avoid injury. I’m stronger already!
