Took out 1972 Chevy Impala to Dale's shop. We brought a long oil pan gasket repair items, since the oil leak we had appeared to be from it. We needed the engine lifted out so the pan gasket could be repaired. Dale examined the car, ran the motor and found a decent leak coming down from the valve covers to the oil pan. He replaced the covers with quality gaskets (made in the USA). He recommended this repair first, then, if a decent leak continues at the pan and that can be confirmed, that problem can be addressed.
