So when this place existed it was was great but I don’t understand why it’s on google maps now. From my understanding they demolished it to renovate and add interior seating but then coronavirus ruined the plans and they lost funding. This place was a great community spot and I just hope that it will eventually be rebuilt.
This location was meant to return bigger and better, but the rich neighbors in the surrounding houses put a stop to it
So sad this place is gone. When I moved to Portlad for about a year in 2006, this was one of my favorite spots. Like stepping back in time. I know you might say it was just another fast food place, but it was a time capsule more like an old fashioned ice cream and burger stand with walkup service and outdoor only seating. Not like other dairy queens. Felt like an old prototype from the 70s that just kept operating with an old menu, and nobody ever noticed. I'm sorry to find out it was recently flattened.
