I stopped by for lunch today and oh.em.gee. This was dwindling a great find. I had the grilled cheese and it was quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. My lunch date had the chicken fried sandwich and it was also good. On top of the delicious food, the staff was incredibly friendly. (Plus there was free icecream!) My 2016 goal is to become a regular here!
Good vibes all around. Definitely going to frequent this spot for some baseball games at the bar and fill up a growler or two while I'm at it. The craft beer selection is intentional and diverse. The sandwiches (especially their namesake, The Dagwood) are full, flavorful, well-textured, and are perfectly complemented by sauces made in-house. Darrell (Manager) was great at food/beer suggestions and made us feel so welcome!
I love Dagwoods! The Jive Turkey and Southern Fried are my favorite sandwiches, but the beer cheese soup is to DIE for. They also have a great selection of craft beers. Don't forget the complimentary soft serve ice cream!
Staff was great, very good with beer recommendations. Atmosphere is chill & I was surprised to find a "cool" place in a strip mall outside the mall. I had the southern fried sandwich & it was really great. When I have people to share sides with I'll try those as well.
--- I just tried the NEW Greek sandwich - & it's a 10! Plus, their ice cream tastes like what my grandmother used to make. YUM!
