Nice people, comfortable atmosphere, great music but, most importantly, really good food. Prime rib dip, salad, steak, clam chowder, calamari and brownie a la mode (huge!) all were excellent and all served by smiling, friendly staff. Two of us ate there twice and, if we were staying longer, would be back again!

We had the gluten free 'dack burgers on amazing gluten free buns with sweet potato fries (gluten free dedicated frier). We also had the hot honey Brussels with smoked bacon, pickled onions and feta. Everything tasted amazing, service was great (Allie our waitress was very friendly and attentive), and they even had a separate dog menu for our dog. We will definitely come back!

We were all so impressed by the ‘dack shack. We tried to make reservations at a few other places, but it was a busy weekend in LP. We’ve driven past the ‘dack shack a hundred times, but this was our first visit. Well, it was certainly worth the wait. Food was delicious, service was great, decor was nice and price point was fantastic. We’ve eaten in far more expensive restaurants in LP where the food and service were nowhere near as good as at ‘dack shack. We cannot wait to return.

Dack Shack serves up delicious home cooking/comfort food, and the servers are friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a burger, sweet potato fries, encrusted tuna steak with pickled ginger, cucumber, Avocado, and arugula with sweet soy sauce and wasabi aioli on a Brioche roll. The mac and cheese bowl was tasty too. We actually ate there two times during our recent trip to Lake Placid. Dack Shack offers home made desserts as well. The chocolate flourless cake is good and the light peanut butter pie is excellent!
