No pictures unfortunately since I snarfed my food down so quickly earlier. But let me tell you this place is not gonna let you down the jerk chicken, the rice, the beans, the potato salad you name it it’s all very good and friendly workers too!
Tonight was my husband and I’s first time eating at the Da Flava Unit food truck (on 965 in North Liberty in that parking lot in front of the carry-out Wig and Pen Pizza joint) and it did not disappoint!! When I say their food slaps, I mean that wholeheartedly! We ordered the jerk tacos, jerk hibachi fried rice, and mac n cheese, all of which I’d recommend to anyone and would order again. Update 6/3/25 Call ahead and make sure someone will be there when you want to get food from Da flava unit. This place never seems to be open any more. They have hours listed on their door but does not appear to be open during any of the posted hours. Older reviews Food is good but never seems to be open on a reliable schedule. Not open for lunch
Every time I eat here it's like getting a hug from my mom. The food is wonderful and the people are just the best.
