A great little independent coffee shop. Good coffee, good food, nice ambiance, friendly staff. My favorite is the friendship bread.
I found myself in Exeter and this coffee shop largely by accident. The price was a pleasant surprise. The server was good and told me he'd need to brew up a batch of the coffee and if I could wait. He brought it over when it was ready. Bonus points for playing some Aphex Twin.
Had 90 minutes while waiting on my son and stopped in for the very first time to enjoy an afternoon coffee and tackle some work. Blaring alternative music (couldn't even drown it out with ear buds turned all the way up), gross and weak Americano (pretty sure they just poured a regular coffee, mostly because it was ready before I finished paying, and it was barely consumable), and staff who barely made eye contact during transaction and was more interested in chatting behind the bar. the coffee is great, but the staff is routinely hostile to patrons. like silly rude. i kept trying, but no more. no need to feel like i'm walking a minefield for a coffee order!
