This past spring Natl Grid inspected my gas meter but instead found a problem with the furnace and chimney entrance . He proceeded to turn off the gas until I resolved the problem. They came back, turned the gas on to the appliances but neglected to light the pilot in the furnace which I only realized when I turned the heat on. Natl Grid refused to come insisting the pilot was on. My former plumber had retired. I needed a plumber but had no recommendations for someone in the area.
