A structural engineer identified a tilting chimney above the house roof we were in process of purchasing. He recommended contracting a qualified contractor to check the top of the framing structure, etc. My inspection company recommended D & S Construction. Dave did an assessment of this home with similar fireplace chases leaning and determined it's usually a failure of the pad/footing.
