We have been living here for a year and a half and our experience has been great. The apartment building is quiet and neighbors are always friendly. Being a CSUN student myself, the location of our apartment building makes it an easy 5–10 minute walk to campus. Since there are so many students commuting to and from school in the area it feels safe to walk around both during the day and night. Our building manager Asha is always quick to respond and attend to any issues within our unit or within the building.
This place is amazing! They are always on top of whatever you need. Asha is very attentive to requests, issues or just being the friendly face of cypress pointe. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place to anyone.
The good: Responsive management to maintenance requests and relatively quiet apartment complex. Not too many units and parking space provided as well. Laundry facility is awesome. Two washers and two dryers that are available most of the time. The bad: residents smoke all the time. Hallways smell like old cigarettes especially the second floor and marijuana smoke enters units around 11pm on random nights - I really hope my baby does not develop health conditions as a result. This review is different. I lived at Cypress Point in the mid-1980s -- it was my first "away from the folks" place. Out of other Northridge buildings, I found CP a perfect walk to CSUN, all the restaurants, and the ease of going straight up to the 118 (and if needed, down to the 101). Just ideally located without getting tied up in small streets during traffic, and a few seconds from Reseda but without the noise.
