I’ll start with the positives. This apartment is in a great location, especially for CSUN students. The property manager, Asha, is very nice and helpful, and always available when needed. As for the negatives, the rent increased by $300 in just two years. More importantly, the security deposit is not fully returned, regardless of how well you take care of the apartment. Lived at Cypress Point for almost 3 years and it has always felt like home. We did not want to leave and only did to be closer to our jobs, otherwise we would’ve stayed so much longer! Initially, I thought I would only live here for about a year, but I’m now into my 10th year living at Cypress Point Apartments. The onsite manager, Asha, is professional and friendly. She is extremely responsive and, I believe, genuinely cares about the comfort and safety of the residents. We have been living here for a year and a half and our experience has been great. The apartment building is quiet and neighbors are always friendly. Being a CSUN student myself, the location of our apartment building makes it an easy 5–10 minute walk to campus. Since there are so many students commuting to and from school in the area it feels safe to walk around both during the day and night. Our building manager Asha is always quick to respond and attend to any issues within our unit or within the building.
