Dr. Vanfarowe does a good job of listening to our complaints and addressing them, whether via more diagnostics and follow-up or by referral to a specialist. We have good confidence in her abilities to address our medical issues.
I came in for some woozy symptoms that had been reoccurring and she basically spent most of the exam selling me on the clinic (it was my first time), did a very brief exam, and then passed me off to blood work. Blood came back clean, I still had symptoms, spoke with my dad and he had the same and had been diagnosed with vertigo. I’ve been treating myself for vertigo and symptoms have gone away. Wish she would’ve considered my ears too. I just felt like she didn’t believe me the whole appointment.
Dr. Van Farowe is a very caring person who will bend over backwards to help you.
I felt that she was dismissive, condescending, invalidating and misinformed medically.
My first visit w/ Dr. van Farowe was a delight-- I needed immediate attention and my PCP was unavailable . She was knowledgeable and respectful, gentle and seemed authentically interested in me as a patient and a person. I like my PCP, but if I need a new one, I'll be visiting Dr. van Farowe.
I have been a patient of Dr. VF for more than 25 years. She is thoughtful, thorough and engaged. She does expect patients to take responsibility for their health and to actively engage in the appt. You can ask her anything. Assoc. in Family medicine needs more individuals to answer the phone, I often have to wait 10+ minutes to talk to a live person.
I have seen her twice and will be looking for a new Dr. She doesn't appear willing to work with your experience of your own body and treats you has if you know nothing. Condesending, poor attitude and lack of interest in your health problem. Only seemed to be interested that I was 5lbs overweight!!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor!
Dr. Van Farowe takes the time to know you on a long-term basis. She takes a "whole patient" POV of me. Her memory of my history is exceptional. I truly feel she relates to me as a person, not a paycheck.
