I really want to like Cyan PDX. I've lived here for a little over a year now. But, currently my apartment is 85 degrees, somehow hotter than it is outside. It never got below 80 last night inside. A/C is broken in the whole building. On top of that, the trash chutes are currently so full that it's stuffed up to the 6th floor (I had to go upstairs to try and toss something). Following up on my past 5 star review I am saddened to have to lower my rating to below a 1 star; I formally disputed a $770.28 charge for a replacement door handle and the $280.00 locksmith fee that was billed to my account without any heads up and after 4 different work orders placed on the door handle through the year. Edited 10/18/25 to include our move out experience. This company incurs absolutely insane charges for minimal wear and tear as well as damages that were already there upon move in. My roommate and I moved out almost 2 months ago and just finally (despite having tried to contact them via phone and email multiple times) got a statement in the mail with ridiculous charges. *To my detriment, I did sign their contract. So read that baby through & through. I would even suggest having a legal expert help to understand it fully.* I’m writing from direct experience. Over the past year Greystar charged me an extra $150 every month on top of a $100 utility bill because they refused to provide a reasonable accommodation I requested. Stay away from this company!!! I moved out on September 10th in line with my lease agreement, but they still charged me for the full month, claiming they had sent me some vague notification three months earlier. The leasing agent was extremely rude and seemed more focused on squeezing out as much money as possible rather than providing any real customer service.
