Positive experience getting flu shot at Ballston CVS last week — was able to make an appointment the day we received the shot and was in and out quickly.
I walked in to the CVS at Ballston Quarter (Arlington, VA), without an appointment, hoping to get a flu/COVID shot. It's a busy location so I expected to be turned down but they were able to accommodate me right away and I didn't have to wait long to get the shot. I really appreciated the convenience.
The pharmacist here is a raging jerk. He was unhelpful, condescending, and refused to fulfill my prescription twice for literally no reason other than saying he doesn't want to and doesn't like paper scripts despite them being a 100% normal and *legal* way to get a first prescription from your doctor. Made me feel like a criminal trying to get my prescribed medications. Legitimately the worst experience I have ever had in my life trying to get a prescription filled. I hope he never makes anyone feel so awful again.
This pharmacy serves a very populated area and is therefore extremely busy, however I am always met with the nicest and friendliest staff. The lead pharmacist is very patient and always willing to answer questions. The techs have always been extremely helpful and go out of their way to ensure you are getting the lowest price and will assist finding the right coupons. Yes, sometimes it takes longer to fill prescriptions, and things are sometimes out of stock but I think that speaks to the larger pharmacy and healthcare system... read more
