I purchased OTC items from the CVS pharmacy section, but the customer service representative refused to check me out, saying they only process prescriptions at their register. Because of this, I couldn’t use my Medicare card for payment and had to return all the items to the shelves. This was the first time CVS has ever denied me the option to purchase OTC items with my Medicare card.
