Heartbroken! It's a long story, the short of it is, our pup Ellie had been having coughing issues, related to heart and lungs. Since there are no canine heart specialist in the valley, the Banfield dr from Petsmart, referred us to the closest one, in Austin! So we finally got an appointment and had to take her to Austin to see the heart specialist, a five hour drive, one way! Our Sweet Gus had an echocardiogram to check for damage from heartworms. We rescued him two years ago and were uncertain of the level of damage after successful treatment. He is 10.5 years old. The team was very accommodating to Gus and made him feel comfortable during the assessment. The results were explained well and we received a written report as well.
