Hands down the most expensive place I have ever ordered a pair of glasses from. The exam was ok but I have had better experiences at other offices. Prepare yourself for Gary Nelles if he decides to leave his office that is you can expect him to attempt the upsell on you everything from daily contact lenses to whatever else he thinks you need but actually don’t. $850 for 1 pair absolutely ridiculous. I was honestly shocked by the level of unprofessionalism I experienced with Dr. Nelles. As a health care professional myself, I found this interaction especially disappointing. When I first arrived, I spoke with the optometry student, who was genuinely kind, pleasant, and professional. I told her that I have glaucoma and explained that the reason I was looking to change providers was simply because I need evening appointments and my current provider is unable to accommodate that.
