If I could do zero starts I would. All custom house cares about is money. We have told them about several problems that pose as a safety hazard to our children that they refused to do anything about.. The front desk worker Liz is extremely unprofessional and downright rude. Going as far as mocking and laughing at me when I try to express concern about my childs safety in our dangerous yard that they refuse to repair. Custom House Realty is a great company to work with! I have been working with them for 2 years now. All of the staff and employees are very professional and very respectful. Any time there is an issue or concern with the rental, they are on top of it and will fix any issues right away! I highly recommend this company for your next rental in the Monterey area! They are truly one of the best property management companies around!
DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!!!!! They stole so much money out of our deposit. I attached the picture. I had the house professionally cleaned and carpets professional cleaned. We lived in this house a year and had nothing but problems due to it being put up for sale in the middle of our lease. They charged us to paint the whole inside of the house (illegal). They will nickle and dime you for everything at move out. Was great tenant - never late with rent, never an issue. Left the apartment in move in condition (much more than is required) and they charged me $300 for cleaning and $150 for carpet cleaning of two small rooms. Not to mention flea treatment at $140. Have pictures and video to prove. Just poor business. Trying to make a commission on every service. Will never use again or refer.
I really felt like this management group went above and beyond to make our rental feel like a home. Moving in before the Winter hit, we learned our heater wasn’t working during the first cold spell, also pointing out to them when we did that the freezer was liquifying our ice cream as well. PG&E couldn’t get here for almost 2 weeks and amidst this pandemic, manufactured items like refrigerators and heaters had a similar wait.
