Coolant Price to Install FTS has outrageous prices. My Carrier heat pump was, according to their Tec, 4lbs low on coolant R-410A. I was billed $49.00 truck fee to my door but what ticked me off was the $233.00 on top of that just to add 4 lbs. of R-410 Freon. Which worked out to cost me $58.25 per pound and this guy hadn't so much as taken one screw out of my unit to look inside and there was holding this outrageous bill. Their Tec. took 1hr 45 to let the coolant flow into my heat pump which he had rounded up to 2hr of labor... read more
