Dr Baxstrom is a saint. After my brain injury I worked with him correcting my exotropia. Odd things like moving my eyes from one corner of the room to the other would make me cry and panic but Dr Baxstrom was gentle with me and guided me through the healing of my brain/eye injury with compassion and kindness. We've had great experiences with Dr. Baxstrom working with our child who has unusual vision challenges. We found him to be helpful, kind, and informative. Staff is also excellent.
Dr. Baxstrom is a super star in the field of TBI Vision Treatment. I had the opportunity to be in his workshop in New York before. becoming a patient. When I checked around the entire country for who was leading the pack his name came up repeatedly. He is up to date on the latest therapies and approaches patients in a kind, no nonsense way. His ability to easily explain to me what I needed helped my recovery in leaps and bounds.
After having been a patient for many years, I was willing to work with him when an error was made on glasses due to a communication error with his staff. Dr. Baxstrom's solution was to take the lenses from my glasses and not charge me. This made it impossible for me to use the frames as the other labs didn't have lenses and were unable to trace the frames due to styling flares. Dr. Baxstrom, therefore, left me in worse position than when I came to him. Dr. Baxstrom was unresponsive to this.
