Excellent food! Great service
I have eaten here 3 times in the last 3 years. The food was very good and the service was as good as you’d expect. But I felt the quality for the price was over the top. There are many restaurants as good for 20-30% less. Don’t mistake me, in Tarpon Springs it’s very good food, but if I’m thinking ahead ( about making an impression or the $$ I’m going to be spending) and don’t mind driving outside my neighborhood there is much better within 20 miles.
Wanted to come for dinner for many years. Always ride past Currents on the Pinellas Bike Trail. Finally made reservations for our wedding anniversary tonight. Ordered the Chateaubriand for two. Everything was perfection including the accompaniments. Serve was excellent too and a live musician who play just at the right volume. A great place to celebrate a special occasion!
I have driven past Currents on Tarpon Avenue for years and always said "We should try that place sometime" but never did...until last night. The food was amazing and service was excellent! They have an extensive menu that you can find something affordable to have. They also have happy hour until 7. It's pretty and comfortable. I will definitely go back. Just my own opinion, but I eat out a lot and this is definitely high on my list of good places now!
Marcus was our waitor, warm immediately! Big window seat by candlelight, perfect setting! Timing between salad, apps, bread and beverages all on schedule! Great dining experience! P.S. Marcus was awesome!
