Gorgeous apartment in the best neighborhood in the city. Quiet community and walkable to high end eateries, bars and a few shops. Recently custom renovation and new furniture make for a pleasant temp housing experience. Free Trolley and city bus less than 200 feet. And on the rare occasion that there is a issue (think Cox Cable), the management responds within the hour and there is follow-up until fixed.
There are great furnished apartments close to Carilion in the Crystal Springs neighborhood. I’m a medical traveler and whenever I am coming to work in Roanoke, I reach out to the Cumins family. Great, convenient apartments!
I am a travel RN and rented an apartment for 15 weeks at the Carolina Avenue property in Roanoke. This neighborhood spoiled me. Not only could I walk to work daily, but upon returning home from work, I could walk to the Fork in the Alley, where they frequently have live music and friendly people. We are big fans of Roanoke in general and Ken & Linda in particular. I stayed in their 22nd Street property 15 years ago when we moved to Roanoke, and found it a perfect little home away from home in a delightful neighborhood. This gave us freedom to house-hunt carefully and enjoyably. When we recently sold our home in 2017 to downsize, our first thought was to contact the Cumins. Stayed 1.5 years at the Carolina property. Ken and Linda (the owners) are great folks. Apartment life there was simple and everything included in the reasonable rent. Amazing location! Run the Greenway, run Mill Mountain trails, Kayak the river, walk to the hospital, great restaurants, great coffee... I put almost no miles on my car that year.
