The worst, moved into a new house in Feb. Called to set up account, told to use the website/app so I did and paid the $30 activation, power shut off Friday afternoon, can’t get ahold of anyone. Spent a very cold night in the new house. Called Saturday morning and told “oh ya, we’ve had problems with the website”. Fast forward 2 months and we’ve had several power and internet outages. Last evening I heard the pop, Pop of breaking transformer & power outages. Within 30 to 45 SECONDS, I received a notice that a service call was assigned & was on the way. As we were leaving to go shop, the service truck passed us, heading to residence. We turned around & went back only to find CEMC had already reset breaker from squirrel. Then, as we left again, the service truck was already working on 2nd transformer. Thanks for your tree trimming & pole replacement program over the past few years.During this ice storm (late Jan- early February 2026), we lost power just a little over 26 hrs. This was a big improvement from the February 1994 ice storm, when it was out 9 days. The big thanks go to all the linemen for having to work in some nasty, foul conditions. You folks earn every penny plus more !
