This is now a U-Haul storage center and they have made several fantastic upgrades to the facility! It would be nice if they had staff onsight, but you can get a hold of them through the intercom if needed.
Stored my furniture there a year ago when it was just getting started. Painters in the adjacent unit sprayed over the top of the wall and damaged many of my expensive items like dining room chairs. The management blamed the owner. The owner blamed the contractor. The contractor blamed the painter. The painter never returned my calls. After an extended run around with everyone saying "it's not my problem" I gave up and sold the damaged furniture for a significant loss.
In my opinion, this dump tied Storage Mart® for worst places in Des Moines. PERIOD!
