I agree with others, fairly simple process. I reserved Online, which gave me a discounted rate. I didn't have to get their insurance because my personal belongings are covered by my homeowners insurance. Before paying for their insurance double check your homeowners or renters policy to see if covered. You do need to take a copy of your declaration page for them to copy. I recently came here to rent a storage unit, and the way i was treated was fantastic. Greeted with a smile and friendly hello! I was offered to take a walk to see some units, i thought this was amazing as i have no idea what a 10x10 would even look like!? The units and whole place were very clean, and made me feel super safe to be leaving my items in their hands!
