I have been donating at the salem oregon center for quite some time.. this center has gotten new machines and they had a roll out celebration with balloons and signage and hyped up the new to the extent of claiming " the donor experience re-imagined". The new machines are faster and that fact was supposed to speed things up drastically enough to support all the hype. I see a lot of people love to complain about this location so here's my honest review. While sometimes the place is poorly staffed, they make up for it in how they treat you. Never have I seen anyone get mistreated or discriminated against as some of these reviews suggest. I will say that some of the newer Phlebotomists are not the greatest at sticking in a needle, but that is also not a reason to leave a one star review. Usually pretty good. It would be nice if someone could update the website to let people no if there open. Someone atleast put something on the door not real helpful.tell your there
It's a clean facility and the staff have been great. The phlebotomists have hit the vein on the first try every time, and bruising has been minimal. The first visit took a while, but every time since then, I've been in and out in about 1.5 hours.
