I made a donation for the first time EVER (not just at CSL but first plasma donation in my life) on July 4th. It is now Aug 12th, over a month later, and I am still not able to donate. They told me there were a handful of people who haven't been cleared to donate because we have to be cross checked with other donation centers that I didn't donate there in the last 24 hours. I’m giving 5 stars bc the employees work their butts off. Meka, Zoie, Everyone that works at the screening tables.
It typically takes 30 min to be taken to have vitals taken maybe 45 when locations are busy but after nearly 2hr15min i had to leave. I arrived at 11:15 on a sunday and as i am typing this it is 2:10pm. New donor intake takes up to 2.5 hours after vitals including the donation so if i had continued to wait i would have likely been leaving close to 5pm. I did not get to see the donation area but can confirm from other posts that at least in intake they do not change gloves but use hand sanitizer between patients. The temperat... read more
