I had exactly the same problem. Not only that, but the staff is very rude and impolite. No respect for the resident at all. When I asked information on this late payment fee the agent totally ignored my concerns. In fact, the new agent hang up on me when we were talking about the issue. They believe that receiving a check on the 6th (for some issue with the Postal service) is equivalent to not paying the rent. What a lack of respect and courtesy to people who have been living there for years paying always on time.

All landlords and property management companies charge late fees. We offer a 5-day grace period and even waive the first late fee as a courtesy. The best way to avoid late fees is to pay timely.
Wouldn't rent from this Property Management ever again. Flat out liars. Will do anything to slap on late fees and get your money. Very happy I'm renting elsewhere next year. Strongly encourage everyone not to rent from their properties.
