Our stay at the Sonesta Charlotte Lower South End hotel on August 30, 2025, was the WORST experience we ever had at any hotel. There were 6 of us driving from Florida to Canada with an overnight stop in Charlotte. We booked and PRE-PAID for two rooms at the Sonesta Charlotte Lower South End through CAA (Canada's AAA). MY HUSBAND CRAIG & ANGELA LEGGETTE I STAYED AT THE SONESTA LOWER SOUTH END IN CHARLOTTE NCQE CHECKED IN ON AUGUST 29TH -31ST WHEN WE CHECHED IN WE HAD TO WAIT FOR ABOUT1HOUR BEFORE WE GOT UP TO THE FRONT DESK AND TYRA WAS AT THE DESK AND SHE WAS WONDERFUL HELP WITH ANYTHING WE NEEDED. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced — especially shocking for a so-called 4-star hotel. We’ve been here for two nights and the room has not been cleaned once. The first night, we called to ask why and were told we had to “request” housekeeping service—something that was never mentioned at check-in. On top of that, we were told we’d need to go down to the lobby ourselves if we wanted fresh towels. My stay here at Sonesta was very underwhelming . Room was filthy, theres no way possible anyone's cleaning the rooms. Very outdated, ac unit full of dust that looks like it could have been there for weeks. Couch filthy , makeup smeared on doors and walls, finger prints on the doors.. just eww! Also floor was filthy I didn't even feel comfortable walking on them barefoot. I wish I had read reviews because I definitely would have stayed far away.
