This is more of a review of VW than of VW Bellingham. Our 2022 VW Taos started having a massive gas smell in the cabin recently. This was taken into VW and was diagnosed as having a faulty fuel line connector under the backseat pulsing and releasing gas. Even though this is a well-documented issue with this car and there are class actions about this in other states, VW was not willing to cover this safety and health hazard under any recall or warranty. Very nice and attentive personnel. My complaint is I wish I had been told that during cooler or cold weather, the brakes will squeal when stopping like a semi-truck. I've asked two nice service representatives who confirmed there is nothing to they can do to correct the squealing sound. I asked if we test drove any VW on the lot, would the brakes squeal with the answer being yes. Interesting that a friends VW does not make the noise. Be prepared new buyers. Michael

Horrible human beings taking advantage of people as much as they can. The service department is horrid, and nothing is done to fix any of the problems. I beg you to please go elsewhere!!
I took my Atlas Cross Sport in for an oil change and for them to check the grinding noise when I pushed on my brakes. I ended up getting an oil change, new front brake pads, fuel injection service, and my tires rotated and balanced. I had an appointment at 7:00 am, so my car would be done early, since I had family events to attend. I called at 1:00, and my agent told me it would not be ready until around 3:00. Lou Sobh VW Athens diagnosed my VW wheel noise as being on left front driver’s side hub despite my telling them I was sure noise was coming from the passenger’s side bearings. I allowed them to replace my left front wheel hub,/bearings, then was astonished to be billed for almost $1000. My next few days of driving revealed no resolution of wheel noise, so I took my VW to local independent ASE certified mechanic who replaced passenger’s side hub/bearing assembly with OEM VW part for $575. Actual purchase of the car was solid. However, that's the 'money-making' end of the deal.. I would expect great attention at this point. After that, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The car shipped from Elk Grove, CA to Houston, TX. I purchase the car on 10/17/2025, cash. 1. Very long delay by the dealership to get the car on the transportation. Great experience with the service department.
Bought a 2022 mazda from Harper. It ended up having THREE bad wheel bearings and a MAJOR refrigerant leak. The bad wheel bearings was a major safety concern and the dealership offered no help even after expressing this was my only means of transportation. In regards to the AC, they looked at it and reassured us it was blowing “ice cold.” Dustin, a sales rep, even made an unprofessional comment about me potentially not knowing it was working correctly because of what I was wearing.
