Our mother spent almost 8 months at Crown Point after she fell and broke her leg at a different assisted living facility. The entire team of her”angels” at Crown Point Emerald House was extremely caring and helpful. As with many skilled nursing facilities they struggle with short staffing but they all gave 100% effort each and every day to provide her the best comfort and care possible. Nice facility, nice people. Like every place on Earth (almost), the service boils down to the individual employee; some are really good, some not so much. The place smells clean and fresh, not at all like a nursing home - and this is NOT a nursing home. Plenty of parking, nice grounds, more like a community setup rather than a boxy, hospital-ish rehab place. Overall, very nice.
Worst place ever, my mother was there only 7 hours and fell in the bathroom because they didn't read there notes. She needed assistance, she needs hands on at all times, she's paralyzed for God's sake, they failed to read her notes from the other rehab she came from. We moved her out of there right away, they didn't even call the emergency room to see how she was. Never go there until they have better management
My husband is here for his 4th stay. Everything is still as wonderful as 2022 & 2023. I am adding a photo of a beautiful omelette prepared by Chef Rachel in Diamond House. On Saturday 3/11/23, Vincent, a chef at Ruby House, prepared and served the most delicious biscuits and gravy my husband has had anywhere in Lubbock.
