I had a pretty bad pill addiction after moving to Charleston 5 years ago and finally decided to get the help i needed. After my 60 day stay here i left with all the tools i needed to stay clean long term. The nurses and doctors were outstanding and the food was decent. Counselors were easy to talk to and i made some cool friends during my stay. 14 months sober today and proud of it.
I love life now and it all started at North Star Detox Recovery Addiction Center. I found the real me and didn't realize how lost in substance abuse I really was. There isn't enough words to describe how blessed I feel to have gone through the their chemical dependency management program. Since I've left I've had three relatives also successfully go through the treatment program and more who are there or heading there. I highly recommend it to all. Words can’t describe the respect and gratitude I have for the wonderful staff at North Star Detox Recovery. As a Parent of an addict, I was encouraged to partake in the family substance abuse counseling offered at the addiction treatment center. I couldn’t be more impressed with the deep level of care, understanding and flexibility in the way they adjust the treatment for each individual client. North Star Detox and all of its staff are a lifesaver! They really are a great place and if they can work miracles in my life, besides God of course, then they can work miracles in your life! My life was upside down and it has made a complete u turn! The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable and effective at treating all forms of drug addiction and alcohol abuse.
