I'd like to point out this review is only for the Move Out and not for the complex or the amenities themselves. First of all there were 2 reasons why I decided to move, the 1st being my new apartment is closer to work and the 2nd is the ridiculous increase in rent, in my almost 2 years living in crossgates, my rent went from $1300 to $1650, this is really outrageous, it seems they are abusing the fact that people need where to live due MSU... Extremely poor administration. Has a very different attitude about fixing things. Golf simulator broken for months and when asked about fixing they indicated that amenities are a privilege and that they can choose not to provide them . They are very particular about their admin fees but sadly tenants are just money makers for them. After 5 months living at Crossgates Apartment I would like to grandee my positive experience: Before moving from Brazil to Starkville I've seen Crossgates at internet research and took decision that is wasnwhat I wanted than with a great luck there was a apartment available at the time. The facility is great - most definitely the best you can find in Starkville as a family residence with amenities. Excellent location. Great staff. Two downsides though: maintenance response is very slow (although repair/ maintenance is not needed much; however, when needed, they are quite short on maintenance staff) and the cost of living is getting very high. The rent was reasonable a couple of years ago but getting exponentially increased.
When it comes to maintenance, I have always been made priority by Crossgates’ staff! The front desk ladies are always so kind and helpful with whatever is brought to their table and I have never felt as if I was not important or not welcome! Crossgates sets the standard for resident engagement.
