I really loved living here! The place is quiet, and everything is kept pretty clean. It is a great community for anyone! Anytime I needed something fixed maintenance always showed up quickly and got it taken care of professionally without any hassle. Office staff is also very helpful with any question you may have!
This is an amazing place to live! The staff is GREAT and the amenities are AMAZING!! I'm so happy I found my home here! Everything is very updated and new! The maintenance men come whenever you need them and they do a fantastic job!
Beware of all of the positive reviews. Crossgates and Avalon periodically run "special giveaways" where residents who post a positive review on Google are entered into a drawing for prizes. The most recent "special giveaway" ran from January-March 13, 2025. Additionally, around this time they offered a raffle for a $200 Visa gift card if you clicked on their link to vote for them for "Best in Starkville" which they did NOT win. While the property itself is decent, the management’s handling of agreements and incentives has been extremely disappointing. When we first moved in, they advertised a referral bonus program. We referred friends during my first year, and despite it being clearly outlined in the contract, it took months of repeated emails, calls, and providing proof before they finally honored the bonus.
