I joined CrossFit 3 years ago, and wish I’d joined earlier! The fear I had in being a plus size woman was so strong, it held me away for years. Everyone told me about how great the coaches are at modifying the movements, but I was terrified of the judgement I was sure I’d receive. I’ve never been more wrong. Just try it! If you would have asked me to walk into a CrossFit gym 6 months ago, I would have said no. I’d give all the excuses… it’s intimidating, the people are too fit, I’d stand out, never fit in. Now, ask me that same question today, and I’d tell you that I’m so happy I made the choice to join. Please, take the first step, and walk through those front doors. Show up, that’s all you have to do. The coaches and members are friendly and encouraging.
