Punta Gorda became our hometown during covid. Not knowing anyone and needing an outlet, I found CrossFit Punta Gorda and decided to put aside my fear of not being able to keep up with a CrossFit training or fitting in and I took a leap of faith. CFPG is a great gym and incredibly supportive community. If you are new in town or new to CrossFit, you will not feel new for long at CFPG. I've moved around a lot as an adult for work and have joined a lot of different gyms dating back to 2008. CFPG is a very woman and age friendly place which isn't always common in the CrossFit world. I've been members of gyms that would hide the 35 lbs "women's" barbells behind the 45 lbs barbells to make the gym look tougher, or not offer a scaled workout for new people, or insist on sig... read more
