After seeing the bad reviews, I was propmpted to leave a review myself. I have had CroppMetcalfe come out several times for plumbing and HVAC work. They have always done a good job and were very professional. They only reason I didn't give 5 Stars is that on one occasion they were an hour late and and needed a tool that they didn't have with them but they arrived first thing the following morning and took care of the problem. The two or three other occasions that I needed them, they handled the problem promptly.

I wish I could give NO stars. Prior owner of unit had a service with Cropp Metcalfe which we stupidly extended. First, they NEVER changed the air filter in the unit, they only "cleaned" this black plastic filter. I found this out because I went to You Tube about filters and located where the filter was. We unscrewed the area and the filter was so clogged with dirt, etc., looked like over 4 years worth. Also, they never told me how to clean out the drain, although I kept asking them to do it. Do not use this company. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have been to our home 5 times and our furnace still doesn't work. There have been no problems until they came. Told us the burning smell was nothing. Had to replace the entire motor after that advice, came late, cancelled appointments, sent inept technicians, didn't have parts. Then the relay went out. I am convinced they broke parts to come back to replace them. $1000 later back from vacation and system doesn't work. The unit is only 7 years old... read more
