I just want to start this review by saying do not believe everything you read on the internet. I did the exact same thing you are doing right now, I read the reviews and feared for the worst. After working with Dr. Slover I can honestly say she is in this profession for a reason and that is to get down to the root of the problem and do what is best for the children. Never use Ms. Slover's services if possible. Highly unethical individual that reports inaccurate data, is very biased, highly incompetent and is extremely unprofessional. It is very difficult to understand how she has been able to stay in business with the court systems in Colorado as there must be thousands of complaints from parents related to her substandard work. I wish I would have read the reviews before allowing her input on mine and my kids life. She caved into every whim of my x. She over looked the fact that he had been abusive, he threatened my life- I had a restraining order against him, and she was concerned how it could affect his job, but had no concern for my safety. RE: the good parent Very presumptious of "The good parent" to state any bad reviews are from people with mental problems, How would this person know? In my case Slover was very lazy, did not look at any documentation, had very sloppy records regarding payment, and it appears her decision was based on gut feeling and which party was the better actor. She lacks acceptance of Reality This woman gets caught up in the glitter of life. If one parent buys lots of toys, fun clothes and skates for the child in question, whereas the other parent is more down to earth and practical: Charlene Slover will side with the dressings and glitter parent. If this parent is unstable, never held a real job, Charlene does not care. She will give the child to this parent. Don't believe what you read on these reviews.... I have to admit, when Charlene was appointed as the CFI, I made the mistake or reading these reviews and expecting the worst. She presented herself as a professional through and through and made a very fair recommendation. Obviously, the reviews below are from individuals who she did not support in their divorce or from individuals who may have very serious emotional and/or parental issues. Guard Against this Tool I would never recommend this woman to make a decision for my shoes, let alone a child. This woman favors domestic violence perps, and step parents who have every intention of keeping the child away from the biological mother. Charlene overlooks abundence of evidence of violence, emotional, mental abuse all in her cause of 'the least amount of work for the most pay'. No common sense I would not recommend Slover. We had a lot of he said she said, but I don't think she put a lot of common sense in to her recommendations. Two people who do not get along with each other, both stating they have major problems in being together, recommending them get together on a regular basis, that doesn't work.
