I would advise being wary of Dr. Penciu, as I encountered three concerning issues when I went to him for treatment: 1. When I first asked him for help identifying a counselor, he declined, stating counseling was “not a medical issue.” In my experience, most providers offer therapy and psychiatry as core services, so this felt dismissive of something I actually needed. 2. I’ve seen many psychiatrists over the years, and I can confidently say Dr. Penciu stands above the rest. He quite literally changed my life. He’s compassionate, clear, and incredibly thorough in how he approaches care. What sets him apart is how genuinely invested he is in his patients—you can feel that he truly cares. He never pushes, never rushes decisions, and instead works with you to find what actually fits. If you’re looking for someone who combines expertise with real empathy, Dr. Penciu is exceptional.

Doctor Pinchu without even knowing me, took me off a medication I desperately needed.Klonapin. Some people really need benzos and I am one of them. I have three hospitalizations in my past ten years for panic attacks..Almost two years later I had a nervous breakdown that put me in the Urgent Care... be careful of this foolish doctor... Thank God I found a compassionate doctor to put me back on medication I need.

Dr. Penciu is the best psychiatrist that I have ever seen. He is so knowledgeable about mental disorders and medications. He is so easy to talk to and provides excellent feedback to your questions. He is also very friendly and courteous. I feel at ease talking to him about sensitive issues. You can tell that he really cares about his patients.
