they will keep your loved ones locked in a room with no help and ask if they want to hurt themselves and then send them home the next day . even after he has been there multiple times for multiple overdoses. they should be shut down. I'm suing them this time
I’ve had multiple experiences with York Hospital Crisis and WellSpan Behavioral Health, and I can honestly say they made me lose trust in reaching out for help. Every time I called crisis, I was doing my best to stay safe — reaching out before things got worse — but I was met with dismissal, judgment, and notes that misrepresented what actually happened. Wish I could give zero stars what kinda doctor allows someone to leave that's brought in threatening to harm their selves?! ridiculous!!!!! Literally allowing someone to leave after 2 days no medicine no help no nothing just discharging them because their don't wanna deal with it! Will make sure anyone who needs help does not go here!
Edit: I was able to communicate with the staff handling my child's case and am able to say now that I agree with, and appreciate the things they are doing to help.
Apparently this place doesn't do due diligence and will only speak to the party that presents questionable behavior in front of the police rather than the parent that calls in for assistance. How many children get left in neglect and abusive homes due to the lack of actual investigating? Luzerne County was indicted for their kids for cash scandal, is York Hospital part of a scandal with the Family Courts here too?
