The coffee was good, so no complaints there. I’m leaving this review mainly because I hope someone at the café takes the food-safety concern seriously. Our barista was changing trash bags, then took our order and immediately began preparing it without washing her hands. We politely asked her to wash her hands and restart our order. Another employee ended up making it and was nice, although the response felt a little sarcastic, as if our concern wasn’t really understood. The food was good but had a bad experience with one of the employees. I had ordered the Little Breakfast with home fries, and when he brought it out without them. I told him that I thought it came with home fries and he very rudely responded "the menu specifically says no home fries" which is not the case (because I ordered it with home fries and it says either toast or home fries on the menu). Totally fine if he were unsure or needed to check with the kitchen, but could have responded more kindly.
Cozy little place with a great vibe. Makes a killer Hazelnut Mocha and the sammies and pancakes! Making mama proud!
