I stopped in for a brew after dropping off my ballot, a first-time customer who happened to walk by this pretty, old, yellow, converted Victorian house that just said "Come on in & kick back awhile." Setting & service were friendly, warm, & helpful. The house brew, Rock Steady, is very tasty, especially the Rude Boy Red. An order of fried calamari came out tender & delicious. If Creek Monkey had a larger selection on tap, I'd have happily given it 5 stars. As it is, though, I'll be back.

This place has been an amazing edition to downtown Martinez. It's friendly and attractive, adult but family friendly. Manager Kevin is a great guy; the staff is positive & efficient (Sara is particularly perky). The food is good - actually improving I think. Like the chicken parm sandwich & hamburgers (but watch out for the spicy burger: not kidding; wish the wings were better). Very good changing beer menu. Pub fare and beer, enh. However, the pub atmosphere was nice and so was the staff.
