Warm Friendly Service with a smile! – Not sure about the negative posts but my experience was excellent. The employees were extremely helpful. Never felt rushed. I asked a bunch of questions and they walked around with me until I found the outfit I needed. Everyone in the place smiled and said hello when they walked past me which almost NEVER happens in New York. I felt welcome. I will make this my destination if ever I need a costume. I highly recommend it!
Every Year – I stumbled upon this shop a couple of years back through a friend and wow I was impressed. You can spend a whole day if you please looking and trying on costumes. They have everything.....and that is no exaggeration. If you have a company themed party or just a little get together I would definitely recommend stopping by this shop!

Exactly what I wanted-a cool period costume – I am new to NY from LA and went here through a recommendation of a co- worker who said he has never seen anything that comes close to the authenticity of the period costumes that he saw here. My two big "MUST's" the authenticity ( I was invited to a huge NY museum crowd theme party), and cleanliness of the costumes. Wow- this place is great. Authentic and whimsical! I could never go anywhere else. – I have been renting from this company for years! They have EVERYTHING I have ever imagined, and costumes that one could never never think of. The ladies have been more then personable and comforting. The individual attention I receive has made it a pleasure to shop. (Even years when it was a couple of days before Halloween, and the pressure was ON.) The prices are always within my spending range, and I ALWAYS feel I'm receiving my moneys worth. Great costumes at great prices – I go here every year for my Halloween costume. You will find many original costume ideas and it is very affordable compared to other NYC costume stores. I definately recommend Creative Costume for anyone dressing up this Halloween.

Great Elvis Costume – I rented an Elvis costume from creative costume for Halloween a few years ago. It was the hit of the party. People were astounded by the quality and the detail of the costume, they though Elvis had actually come back to life. The on-site alterations were crucial to me as the costume fit perfectly. I will definitely be using creative costume again this year for my Halloween costume!!

It's hard to tell which is better, the selection or the service – We've gone back four years running to Creative Costume, and we've always been completely thrilled with the results. The costumes are high quality - so if you're just looking for a mask or a cape, this isn't really your place; you have to really enjoy dressing up to get the most out of it and for the price (our costumes run about $250 on average). REALLY BAD SERVICE – I just have been around town looking for a costume, never did wear one ever. This was the first place I tried and I left within minutes. Soon as I came in I was rudely asked what I wanted. The place is dark and dreary and not inviting at all. Actually the dressing rooms were nice. The costumes were all in plastic bags so you couldnt really look around. The help was terrible and I left without finding anything. The costumes were not great, just okay. Each customer should be treated nicely, because afterall they represent us when wearing our costumes. Our showroom space is packed with costumes and may appear dark when looking down the aisles, but each costume is clean and covered in plastic.
