This was the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life. I read the reviews before coming here, so I shouldn’t have been surprised, but I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We celebrated our anniversary at The New Crawdaddy’s and it couldn’t have been better! Everything we order was absolutely delicious, I had the steak, baked mac and cheese, and red potatoes, and my husband had the fried red snapper, baked mac and cheese, and red potatoes. Had an amazing time here as always. Knew the previous owners, and had the same warmness and comfortability as before. Everyone felt like family and the food was great! Really had a good time with Val and Andre. Excited to go back! As an islander, I 100% approve of the fried red snapper! Had to take one home for my mom. It didn’t make it through the night!
I’m not sure if they are under new management or hired new cooks, but I was not pleased. We paid 100.00 for takeout and the food was horrible. Chicken wings were huge, had no seasoning and not crispy. Collard greens were over cooked and mushy. The noodles in Mac and cheese were swimming in cheese. I had about 6 huge noodles (not regular size elbow) and a container full of cheese. The sweet potatoes taste old. Overall I was not satisfied.
