Tried to setup a home consult for design services and the manager was very rude over the phone and extremely confusing. Ended up cancelling altogether and plan to find another designer to go with. Ain’t nobody got time for attitude when there’s too many talented designers out there.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Crate & Barrel Stanford, especially with the sales associate Louisa. In May, I placed a large order through her totaling over $20,000 worth of furniture. At the time of purchase, Louisa never disclosed that the sofa I ordered would be significantly delayed. I was led to believe all of the items — including the sofa — would arrive in early June, which was the main reason I confirmed the order. Over the memorial weekend sale we baught 3 different sets (16 each) of the Mercer plates. The dinner and salad sizes were in the matt finish. we didn't know that matt finish is more prone to silverware marking, and so as soon as we saw it (7 days after the weekend sale ended) we went to the store to replace for the glossy (white) ones. While they were forthcoming and agreed to swap the plates, to our surprise and disappontment they refused to honor the sale price. We ended up returning them all. bummer.
I wanted to give a shoutout to Lexi. I came in the store to browse for new plates, glassware & furniture for a new apartment. She was so helpful and transparent in her sales approach. She and the team were all extremely helpful. Beautiful store, great layout and phenomenal selection.
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident involving a sales associate named Nancy at Palo Alto store. The incident occurred on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:33 PM. I entered the store to purchase a single glass to replace one that had broken from my set.
