I took my son to Allentown cranial technologies due to plagiocephaly and being recommended for an helmet by his PT and pediatrician Amazing, warm, welcoming staff. I highly recommend them! They take care of everything- insurance, prior authorizations if needed, everything from the start to finish. They are knowledgeable and always made me feel at ease. Please do your own research and talk to other professionals and get a second opinion before agreeing to a helmet that could cost you A LOT of money that your child may not even need. Luckily, I know people who do this for a living. When I showed them the data collected here they told me my child is considered with normal limits and does NOT require a helmet. I was skeptical about this whole process and was not happy about him wearing a helmet, but as time went on the progress that was made is incredible. 3 months of wear to have a more symmetrical face and correcting of his Plagiocephaly is amazing! We did 1 tour of the helmet and decided we were done. The staff was always flexible with coming in with any corrections to the helmet adjustment or any red skin checks. Had to get a helmet for my son. His head shape is transforming wonderfully. The Staff are very sweet and they definitely know what they’re doing. They’re very clean and organized. They answer any questions or concerns you have. As far as the back house of things, the company (a different department) is suppose to check with your insurance to see if you qualify to have this covered. Maybe they’re short on staff on the back end, but just call your insurance company to follow up. Sometimes they’re slow on things.
