Trust the negative reviews about this place. I’m a Chicago resident and utilized the product/service here locally. My child’s treatment was last spring-summer and Cranial Technologies still has not resolved the insurance and billing issues. I’ve had nearly a dozen calls with their billing & claims team over the past 10-12mos. I’ve had to bring their reps into calls with my insurance numerous times. Unfortunately this place is either dishonest or doesn’t know how to process the insurance side of things, because we owed TWICE as much money ($800 vs $1600) for our treatment as we were told up front. And we were not told this until the very end once they had us on the hook for a 2nd helmet! They provide an “estimate” up front, after they coordinate with your insurance company, and then when their estimate isn’t even close, they tell you the fine print in your agreement says they aren’t responsible for being wrong. Your call center is THE WORST!! I have never experienced such a horrible lag in just merely setting up an appointment. Every time I call, there are always 14 to 25 people ahead of me in the call queue. Even more disappointing is that the "call back" option NEVER works. CranTech either needs to add more people to the call center or they need to offer scheduling services online - IT'S RIDICULOUS!!
The billing/insurance department (this Arizona office) are snakes. Do not sign their Financial Agreement! It voids your right to protections from "Balance Billing". They are not permitted by law to deny care or service for patients rejecting anything that voids your legal protections from balance billing. Expensive lesson learned.
